David Fath
David Fath, lead alto saxophone, lives with his lovely wife Claudia in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. They have two children, Megan (20) and David (17).
A native of the area, Dave earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Duquesne University and continued his education at the University of Miami, Eastman School of Music and University of Pittsburgh.
He recently retired, having taught as a music teacher, elementary classroom teacher and private woodwind instructor.
Dave has performed with the Duquesne Wind Ensemble, as featured clarinet with The Corsairs, and Bari Sax with the Jaggerz. He has also worked with James Darren, Tommy Leonetti, Ray Ricker, John Horency, Vince Marchionda, Whit Sidener, and Joe Allard. He is also very active playing in musicals across the region, delighting in his passion for being able to ‘double’, often using 3 or more instruments during a show.
He was inducted into the Beaver County Musicians Hall of Fame, has won the Pittsburgh Flute Club Outstanding Woodwind Performer Award and is a Fellow of the Western Pennsylvania Writers Project.
ON BUILDING GREEN: “In 1979, I designed and built a passive solar home.” He also enjoys golf, tennis and biking.
Dave plays a Selmer alto sax, Mark VI tenor sax, Marigoux soprano sax, Conn baritone sax, Buffet clarinet, DeFord flute and piccolo, Armstrong alto flute, as well as a Fox oboe and english horn. He is a member of the Trinity Music Group, Inc., Board of Directors and is an original member of the organization.
